Arbor Motion
Shop installed alternator same morning I called for repair. Quoted 519, suggested new belts (had been replaced 20mi earlier ? ) and master cylinder (350); went with belts, total 550. Nissan dealer quote out the door alternator replacement 419 plus tax. But dealer could not do same morning. Shop was there when I needed it--thank you--but I suspect high prices and will check around in future if not emergency. Time will tell if this fix was professional; I suspect it will be

Arbor Motion
Check out the equivalent cost at the dealer before going to an indy mechanic like Arbor Motion. They may want to charge you more for labor (hours) to do a particular service. Plus, dealers generally have coupons for routine maintenance like fluid changes, and wheel alignment, so it may turn out to be cheaper at the dealer.
Also purchase your own parts from the internet (from a reputed site), and have them do the install since, they do have markups on their parts.
