have 2002 and 2003 QX4s. 2002 has 133,000 miles, 2003 has 85,000 miles neither auto has had timing belts replaced.
Will a warning light appear on the dashboard to tell me when
it needs to be replaced?

No there is no light that tells you. Usually you will hear the belt make noise but inspect it for cuts and wear because if a belt breaks it could instantly ruin your engine. I recommend replacing both. It cost around $20 bucks for a new belt.

Both of these have timing chains, So no maintenance is needed unless they get noisy or affect the timing

you do not have a belt, you have a chain, does not need to be replaced as normal maintenance
