Question: any suggestions why car lost power and slalled and wont crank back but does turn over

my car lost power and cut off.i changed waterpump and belt the day before.now i have no spark but car does turn over.radiaator is full still full

    5.7L V8 engine? If so the distributor is behind the water pump. When changing the pump, coolant may have gotten in to the distributor causing internal damage. Some models have a vent hose on the distributor connected to engine vacuum. You may be able to dry the inside of the distributor by blowing compressed air gently into the distributor using the vent lines.
