Question: antifreeze leaking

 Rookie

my mechanic says I need a water inlet housing, o-rings, thermostat, thermostat housing and antifreeze. what damage could be done to my vehicle if I do not get this done.

  you could overheat the engine and do extensive internal damage to the motor.
