anti theft light on dash blinks rapidly and my car wont start on 2007 Ford Fusion

Car was working fine, I came out from work, my remote wouldnt open the doors, so I used the key manualy, when I tried to start my car, no go, the anti theft light on the dash blinks rapidly and wont go out. I took the major fuses out from the box under the hood, still the car wont start. Help! I want to take my car home.

If your THEFT light flashes while you have your key in the "ON" position, you have an issue with the Passive Anti Theft System (PATS). This is the system that uses a transceiver to look for your programmed key to enable the vehicle to start. My first reaction would be to try your other key to see if it works. If this does not help, unfortunately you will need to get some assistance from someone - repair shop or dealer - that has a diagnostic tool that can check out the system operation.
