Answer #1
Is the anti-theft system factor installed? In other words, did it come with the car? If so, then you can't bypass it, and you need help. If it's aftermarket, then it can potentially be disabled by someone who knows how to install them.

I am having a similar issue. I have a 94 vw Golf mk3 gl. Randomly the car will shut off. I am looking to bypass the anti-theft. I have been over the wiring diagrams and I do believe it is possible but now its just in the doing. So, any input would be appreciated.

can you use the key in the other lock cylinders (pass door or trunk)? most technicians will be reluctant to give too much info that could be "misused". a reputable shop would ask for proof of ownership before making the type suggestion you are asking for.
