I have a 2004 Deville, when i pull in my garage and turn car off i smell anti frezze. I check levels OK (had to add some about 2 weeks ago) hoses OK.. no visible sign of leaking. Temp gauge only goes 1/2 way. not sure if the fan is kicking in due to extremely cold weather.

Are you smelling coolant inside or outside the vehicle?

It's common for a leaking heater core to have a strong coolant smell, but primarily inside the car. I would get the cooling system inspected by a mechanic that is experienced with Cadillac, they will know exactly where the common leaks occur and should be able to find the leak.

I just had a similar problem with my 2004 DeVille and it turned out that the coolant overflow reservoir had a slight crack in it that was difficult to see, but turned out to be the cause of the leak. You might want to check that.

I took the car to my mechanic and after investigation they told me it was the gaskets to the water pump housing, this was creating a small leak. After $600.00 they replaced the gaskets, the car is now working fine.
