 Rookie

How many miles can I drive car without alternator working? I need to get car to shop. Thanks.

  It is very hard to say, with a fully charged battery and all accessories off you may get 8-10 miles. If you are not sure you can make it I would suggest having your car towed just to be on the safe side.

• Signs of alternator failing? Or bad starter connection?
  ...the battery was faulty it would still start with a jump. Or even a push start.... So. I don't know. Help anyone?
