Would or could you recommend a service alternativesover the $200 a hour dealer charge?

  Are they charging $200.00 an hour to diagnose the check engine light or is it a $200.00 flat fee? Some places charge a flat fee to even start to look at these types of problems. Check our directory for other shops in your area, http://repairpal.com/directory. Sorry, I don't have any specific shop recommendations, but you can try shops that specialize in smog and emissions repairs, they perform this type of work all the time.

• location of spark plugs on front bank of engine
  Does one need to remove the air intake mechanism to get to the front bank of spark plugs? If so, how is that accomplished? Thanks Larry
