altenator on 2005 Ford Explorer

I but a new alt and battery in but I still charging at 18 volts what do I look for now

You sure not problem with guage? You have checked on vehicle? If was charging at 18 volts would be baking your battery- you'd smell rotton egg smell in car.

Replaced the Altenator and the electronic throttle control light came on. The light was not on before replacing the Altenator. How do you reset it on 2004 Ford Explorer???
Changed altenator, car starts but runs a few minutes and then loses power and shuts off
About three weeks ago had to replace the altenator and the battery. Could this have anything to do with the engine light coming on?
