11.3 quart capacity for cooling system so after complete drain it will take a 50/50 mix of antifreeze (GM recommend Dexcool) , rear diff capacity is 2.1 quarts (GM recommend Versatrack fluid in diff and transfer case) , 4 quarts engine oil, a little over .6 pints of oil in the transfer case. Dexron 6 oil goes in the auto trans.

Put a drain pan under the rear differential, remove the bottpm drain plug with an allen metric wrench, Reinstall the drain plug, remove fill plug with metric allen wrench and pour in about 4 pints and it should pour out, then stop and reinstall fill plug. Drive 3 figure 8's and you are done. The versatrak fluid was $100 at the dealership for four pints. It fixed the moan and groan problem I had. I do this every spring to avoid that terrible noise.

Im about to do this job tomorrow on my aztek, just wondering if you have any recommendation on how to refill it. Im thinking a funnel with a hose, or is the top of the pint bottle small enough to fit into the fill hole?

All Wheel Drive light came on. Cable was switched and the light went off. Driving to Hilton Head, SC the light came on again. What could be the problem?
It sounds like it's coming from the rear-end, it mainly happens when the wheel is being turned all the way.
