1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Question: all time four wheel drive is not working

 Rookie

went into the mountains today and my all time four wheel drive failed to work . tried to shift into low range and that lowered the speed but still just rear wheel drive. could it be a relay? or fuse ?

    Could be one of these 2 switches depending on which transfer case your jeep came with (vacuum or electric) Both are available at Napa auto parts or www.napaonline.com or int the case of the vacuum model a vacuum hose leak

    this answer makes no sense, the transfer case does not have a vacuum or electric front disconnect like some other Jeeps and GM suvs with similar transfer cases. Probably the viscous coupling if it is Quadratrac all-time 4x4.
