I brought my Honda Pilot into Alexander's because the "Check Engine" light was on. They scanned the vehicle for error codes for over an hour. When I was able to finally speak with someone about the situation, they told me my battery was about to die and was causing the engine light to come on. I paid and left, thinking it was an extremely odd diagnosis. On the way out of their drive, my ABS light also came on. I went right back to their location and talked with the guy who diagnosed my error code just a few minutes before. He said he didn't touch anything related to the ABS code and did not offer to scan the vehicle again. After leaving Alexander's I called the Honda dealership and got right in the next day. They scanned the vehicle for error codes and determined an O2 Sensor was bad. After replacing it, both the Check Engine and the ABS lights have never come on again. I did not replace my battery and it is still working just great. Overall, Alexander's Automotive provided a poor service with a questionable outcome. I was still charged for the bad diagnostic of the vehicle. I'll never go back and will not recommend them to anyone.
I feel ripped off, lied to avoid fixing problem, and laughed when we questioned him. Never fixed the issues and cost us $500.
