    I've been taking my cars to Albany Tire for years, and have referred numerous friends and family members who all thank me for it. Not sure why it's just called Albany Tire because they do just about everything - tires, repairs, maintenance, etc. I think they may be the oldest business in Albany (I think since 1940 or so), and when you go there you can see why they've made it this long. They're friendly and honest, and have fair prices - kind of like it must have been in the old days when they started. They're really close to Solano and the El Cerrito shopping center too, so I usually take a stroll around while they work on my car. They've dropped me off at BART before as well, and even picked my wife up at home once to get the car. I'm not sure if that's a normal service they provide, but they always seem flexible to help us out, as though we were their #1 customer. Makes dealing with them really easy and pleasant.
