Is There another way of fixing the supension when it goes on the blink. My air compressor runs way too often as though there's a leak in the system.

Here's a good site with a help line http://www.americanairsuspension.com/ Give them a call and have them help diagnose your air suspension problem.
There is a better way! I learned the hard way but I finally gave up on the air system and called Strutmasters.com. I bought a non air conversion kit for my Lincoln. I love it. My girl loves it too!!!
I also agree with peter on this. I went to Strutmasters.com and got a conversion kit for my 84 Lincoln Continental. I did a 4 wheel kit with lifetime warranty. and now i dont have to worry about my car falling down again.
I highly recommend Strutmasters.com, The conversion kit is great and you dont have to worry about the air anymore. come with a lifetime warranty.
If your pump is running too often there is definetely a leak. I fixed my bags 3 or 4 times before I decided to swap out to a spring and strut suspension. It costs around $400 but will save you a lot of aggrivation. I've had that setup for a couple years now and it still works great. However, because they are springs they will settle over time. It's not quite air ride but you have a lot less problems.
My air bags dry rotted. Being in Texas that would be a constant problem for the life of the car. So I had my mechanic remove the air bags and install spring suspension. The ride isn't as smooth, but I NEVER have to deal with those pain in the a** air bags. Worse thing they ever put on a Lincoln.
I seen a yahoo post where someone bought springs from Advanced Auto for about $99 for rear only which is my issue. I may try to go this route and will post how it turns out.
