Question: air intake melting from insied out around main manifold vacuum port

air plinum melting from inside out at vacuum port for pcv valve this is near egr valve replaceing the air plinum will be expensive and dificult need to find cause of melt down

    Are you sure it''s melting, and not just a build up carbon deposits from oil deposits? You could try Seafoam (Google search it), worse comes to worse I think Dormin Products make an intake manifold aftermarket.

    Yes I am sure the plastic is melted and it caused tiny holes which are appearing around main manifold vacuum port from air plinum to pcv valve. This port can be removed and I removed it. It has an O ring seal. This part was melted and fused to air plinum inside. Melting is from inside plinum not from pcv gases. these parts not melted.

    could it be excess heat from a bad egr valve?I am having the same exact problem with my 2006taurus.the pcv valve melts and fused to the intake manifold.what's the fix? Please help.Thanks!!!
