how many miles should they be changed

  Most of the technicians I have worked with highly recommend doing so every 15,000 miles. Mercedes will have a factory recommendation, as well, and it should be in your owner's manual.

  In my opinion air filter replacements are one of the biggest ripoffs in the industry.. they get changed cause the air filter sounds so important and is so easily deemed to be in need of replacement ! Ive NEVER felt any difference in a filter that i tapped the dirt out on the ground and a brand new one..
