The large black plastic engine cover is the air filter housing. It comes off by simply pulling up on it. After it is off, turn it over. You will see numerous torx screws around two rectangular shapes, that where the air filters are. All you need to do is unscrew them to access the filters. Before refitting the housing to the engine, I recommend using a silicone spray lubricant on the rubber gasket of the housing to ensure proper fitment of the seal.
