Air Filter on 2007 Kia Sportage

How do I change the air filter? In other cars I've owned the air filter location is obvious, but in this vehicle a large shield covers the engine (and I don't want to remove it if the air filter is not beneath that shield). Thanks!

Next time you need an oil change ( jiffylube, oilchangers, or chevron oilstop ) have the tech change the filter and watch where he removes it from.

Look over to the right of the engine shield cover. The air filter is under a removable cover, attached with four spring loaded clips. The holder is about 6" x 8". Easy to open.
