Abnormal Noise From AC Compressor on Chevrolet 1500 Pickup

The air conditioning compressor may develop an abnormal noise and require replacement. We recommend that whenever an AC compressor is being replaced for a noise condition, a filter kit should be installed to prevent any metal particles in the system from damaging the new compressor.

compressor makes kind of a shuddering sound at idle - still works though
AC compressor clutch turns on really hard, then the AC system completely died due to Freon leak internally in AC compressor. Replace AC compressor/dryer and recharged system.
Replaced the A/C clutch unit at 350,000 and later the noise that was spoken off did occur. Now have a new compressor and its working great. With the new compressor warranty,I had to purchase a new expansion valve and new accumulator. As well I had to pull a vaccumm on the entire A/C system and replace the oil and refrigerant gas.
