My air conditioning is not blowing very cold air. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do? I saw on this site it said something about a cable adjustment, what cable is this?

A/C systems are very complex and take special training and equipment to properly diagnose and repair. You should take it to a repair shop and have them look at it. Probably not the answer you're looking for, but without a basic understanding of A/C systems, you can do more harm then good.

I realize this is an old question but others may come across it looking for answers as well.

Your Scion tC comes with an optional cabin air filter that filters fresh and recirculated air. Problem is, it is not offered standard or as a Scion option, nor is it even mentioned in an owners manual.

Adding or Changing your cabin air filter could help. My Tc starting blowing out warm air and wasn't blowing very hard, changing the cabin air filter completely fixed the problem for me.

If you live in an area with more sand/dirt or if you drive in a lot of heavy traffic the filter may require changing sooner than the recommended 15,000 miles. I believe it is behind the glove box, super easy to get to... The cabin air filter only costs a few bucks and for the most part any where that sells them will also have a manual/guide to find the part number that your car needs.

Here is a post on how to change the cabin air filter in a 2005-2010 Scion Tc http://autodiyonline.com/scion-diys/scion-tc-diys/scion-t...

There are obviously other issues such as leaks that can cause problems with your A/C , but this is advice based on what fixed the same problem in my Scion. I hope this helped a little!
