2004 Toyota Sienna Q&A
2004 Toyota Sienna Question: air conditioning
I have a 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE two wheel drive. Air conditioner was working perfect yesterday. I had been driving for approximately 1 hour with no problems. After entering a store and returning to start the car the blower was working on the airconditioner but there was no cooling whatsoever. I cannot detect that the compressor is kicking in at all when the air conditioner is turned on. I allowed the vehicle to cool off over night but the A/C is still not working. I never have had any trouble since purchasing this vehicle (new) in 2004. What could be some of the possible solutions to this problem. Thank you for any solutions you cn give me. firstname.lastname@example.org - tomgwendelle
There are many possibilities in a complex system like auto A/C. First thing I'd do is check to see if power is switched to the A/C compressor clutch when the control is switched on. If it is, and the compressor clutch doesn't engage, then probably the clutch coil is defective. If not, then you need to check the control systems. If there's no power to the compressor clutch, then you need to find out why. Check the refrigerant charge with gauges, check the fuses, etc. If this kind of thing isn't your cup of tea, find a Toyota specialist to help you. Problems like this are usually easy to diagnose for an experienced person. Is it true that the 2004 model is having major air condition failures because the compressors are failing and sending metal particles through out the system causing $4000 in repairs
Toyota Sienna Air conditionned 98, the air stopped working without giving any signal, typically the compressor always makes a noise when you use it but now neither the noise and cold air or anythin...
Everything I read seems to have a different answer. Exactly where do you put the oil in a replacement compressor? andif I have the flush can, but no compressed air, what do I do?
