Question: Air conditioner/heater won't turn off, blows at same speed

 Rookie

2001 Nissan Pathfinder. I can't adjust the fan speed, stays on high. I can adjust the temp., but it seems like the AUTO feature isn't working. When I push the OFF button, the display goes off but the fan still blows. Any suggestions.

    hello , i would replace the resistor untit for the blower motor , that should take care of the blower motor speed , then re chech the operation of the other functions

    Plastic switch inside (cheapo), just replaced mine. Got it from trade motion for $50. I always see people say resistor pack, wasn't my problem. Pull the switch apart, you'll see where it's crap.

    I'm running into this same problem w/ my 2001 Pathfinder. At the risk of sounding ignorant, how do I replace the 'plastic switch inside?' Thanks

    you can repair resistor on eBay is cheaper then bay new one
