Question: air condition is not working, need to find the hose and where it is leaking??

the ac is not keeping cold so I recharged it but it loses its coldness and there is a leakage under the chassie, so I need to either replace the leaking hose and/or find where it is leaking on my 1998 528i ?

    it could be leaking anywhere. some shops use a "sniffer" to
    track freon leaks, however, the more reliable method is to add dye along with the freon. under blacklight, the dye will fluoresce and positively identify any leak. since either method would require a large investment in tools that you do not have, it may be better to pay a shop to do this for you.
