Airbag light may stay on due to water intrusion on Dodge Grand Caravan

The airbag warning light may remain illuminated while the ignition switch is in the "on" position. This can be caused by water that has entered into the airbag six-way connector in the engine compartment.

2005 Dodge Grand Caravan 96,500 mi,
Just happened yesterday. Not resolved as yet. I came to this site from a Google search for clues as to the cause. We had severe thunderstorms with sheets of rain and flooded streets so water intrusion is a likely possibility. Thanks for the information.
