2003 Mazda 6 Question: after an oil change the O ring doesnt hold. how can i fix this.

 Rookie

it happens on new O rings old O rings even when i lube it up good it fails. i just had the motor replaced so i dont want to do that again. what can i do.

    First off, at the bottom of the drain plug, you should have a Crush Washer (Brass or Copper) If you are using an o-ring and its not working (leaking), you may want to go to your local auto parts and ask for a Crush Washer for your drain plug. Bring the plug along to be sure it fits the new part. I was unclear as to your correct problem ( not enough info) Goodluck, Helpfull4u
