Defective airbag inflators may have been installed in 2,430 vehicles as replacement parts. In the event of a crash, these defective inflators could deploy incorrectly and rupture, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. Honda will be contacting owners of suspect vehicles.
Vehicles may lose braking ability due to fluid loss. In most cases, the brake warning light will illuminate, but it may not. Loss of braking ability can increase the risk of a crash.
Power steering fluid may leak onto the exhaust pipe. Fluid leaking onto the hot exhaust system increases the risk of a fire.
In the event of a crash, the passenger airbag may not deploy completely.
Honda has recalled 644 vehicles because they may have been built with a bolt missing from the interior trim on either side of the windshield. If the side air bags were to deploy, front seat occupants could be injured by the loose trim piece.
