On March 19, 2010 I had my '05 Hyundai Sonata in for the 60K mile service. 3 months later on June 19, '10 the check engine lights came on and the car stalled. My minor sons and I were stuck in the desert at temps over 116°F until the car could be fixed by Harbor Hyundai Monday, June 21. The crankshaft sensor had malfunctioned which was caused by severely degraded timing belt assembly which was supposed to have been replaced during the 60K mile service. Mr. Chuck Albert, the service manager at Accurate, concurred. The belts should have been replaced and he admitted they were responsible. He took the information to the owner, Mr. Rob Jeffries. However, that was 6 weeks ago. I've made several calls, which Jeffries refuses to take. He's refused the certified letter of demand I sent 2 weeks ago as well which makes no sense. I only asked to be reimbursed for expenses that were as a direct result of the shop's failure to service my car.
Your car is something you entrust your life and the lives of your loved ones with. You get service that you feel you can entrust your life, even your children's lives with. If you do value you and your children's lives, you're best to steer clear of this business. Clearly they do not value customer service and safety as much as they claim on their websites.
