Accelerator problems on 2000 Chrysler LHS

When the car is cold and I first start it up, the accelerator pedal will not depress. After several minutes of allowing the car to idle, the pedal eventually releases and everything is like normal. What possible causes might there be for this condition?

Sounds like you have contaminate built up at the throttle body?
