Question: Accelerator making a wierd noise

My Sentra has 90,000 miles on it. Today I noticed it was making a whirring noise that mainly happened when I was accelerating. Any ideas what this could be?

    Sound like it is coming from under the hood or from the back of the car? Could be several different things......

    definitely from the hood. maybe it's one of the belts?

    Check the tension of the fan belts also check that the belts are not contaminated by oil or antifreeze.
