2003 Audi A4 Quattro

Question: A/C will not cool

The a/c simply quit working. Have had it tested for coolant leaks, nothing. The A/C compressor is working properly. My mechanic has hooked up computer and ran diagnostics and all the messages come no problem. However, when the VIN number is entered, the computer does not recognize it. Dealer can't explain either. Perplexed.....

    a good tech with a diagnostic tester and a pressure gauge can diagnose this easily. there is a compressor cut off condition list that can be checked in block values, temp flap position and sensor readings are also readable. does the a/c pressure go up when the system is turned on? a gauge is needed to answer this.
