1990 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Question: A/C Stopped Ingaging

 Rookie

With my 89 S10 4x4 Blazer I am having trouble with my A/C. The compressor clutch stopped ingaging I check the freon (good. The system was total replaced two summers ago, I gave check the wiring and connection all good

    Do you have power at the air conditioning compressor clutch with the air conditioning switched on and the engine running. If the system is low in refrigerant the low pressure switch will not allow power to be sent to the compressor to save the compressor form operating with an insufficient amount of refrigerant in the system. Use a volt meter to confirm power. If you don't have power I will go through the electrical trouble shooting diagnostic with you.

    Can use a jumper on low side for freon but plug it back in and not working? Any ideas

    if you converted your ac to the new stuff you need to change your thermostat on the condenser too its shuting it off early cause its for r12 not the r34 or whatever the new ones called you can re wire it to a new r34 thermostat and mount it on your blower screw just leave the old one installed on the condenser to act as a plug just an idea
