1998 Mercedes-Benz C280

Question: ac problem

 Rookie

I have a 98 c280 benz and the a/c is not workin. The a/c is fully charged, but still no a/c when i jump the compressor it works? i dont get power to the compressor can someone helpme

  Sounds like a Climate Control issue. best thing to do is to scan the Climate Control Computer to see what is preventing the Compressor from not getting the correct signal to run. Good Luck!

  make sure compressor is not seized . the system must see the pulse signal from speed sensor on compressor before it will energize compressor.. if comp is not siezed it may need a new speed sensor.. also if system has old settings in software of A'C ECU ( pushbutton display) that needs to be changed first (refrigerant level 'active' needs to be changed to .inactive')
