Some use a compressor cut off for best acceleration in hills ect.Does it have constant airflow from ac outlets? If not, it could be a vacuum leaking problem,or a check valve,or a bad vac. reservoir, which is leaking. Does it change to defrosting mode under acceleration?

I noticed the a/c unit suddenly quit working and we have determined the line going to the rear unit had been punctured and needs to be replaced
