2006 Dodge Ram 1500

Question: a/c noise

Hi,
When I turn on my a/c, it makes a thumping noise. There are no noises after the initial thump and the a/c seems to be working fine. It has been doing this for about a month now.

  You are probably hearing the A/C Compressor clutch engaging. The A/C compressor may be wearing out causing more drag on the clutch or the clutch is noisier due to wear on the clutch increasing the air gap.
