Question: ac malfunction

What causes my ac to cool and then turn off, then after a couple of minutes the ac comes back on?

    I have the same problem. Went and had the AC recharched and Frion replaced, still doing it every now and than.

    MIne does it too! But if I push on the fan knob it will cut back on! Ordered a new control head!
