A/C works intermittently. clutch kicks in and out intermittently. checked it with DIY guage and was going to add some Freon but it reads in the red/overcharged. It doesn't low pressure when the clutch does kick in. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

yes sir they are. We released some of the Freon and compressor did kick in for longer period and was showing about 35 psi when it was engaged.
