2000 Saturn SL2 Q&A

2000 Saturn SL2 Question: AC hose replacement

My ac does not work. Had it diagnosed with the dye. Found a slit in the hose that attaches to the compressor. How much should this cost to replace hose? -
Answer 1
Similar thing happened on my '06 4cyl Vue, failure at bend in the aluminum line near the compressor. Labor quote was $379 from a shop, $200 from a backyard mechanic. Parts were about $200, including main line, new drier, and R134a. I ended up doing the repair myself, and paying a few bucks to a A/C tech to charge the system. - WJS -
