AC Control Head on 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

My airflow controls are not working properly (defrost and floor not being heated) and the dealership quoted me $778 to replace the AC Control Head. Is this a reasonable price or a rip off? Is this something that an independent could repair or should I stick to a dealership?

Just because the dealership sells the vehicle doesn't mean they are the only ones that can fix it. In some cases they don't even know how to fix it. A good qualified ASE certified independant repair shop can and will fix it. There should be an aftermarket available part for that vehicle, if the control head is the problem. Need to retrieve the trouble codes for the HVAC system.
