Can't figure this out and it's HOT in Dallas, Texas now. Have replaced the low pressure sensor, the controller assy. in the dash and the computer to no avail. Possible bad ground and if so where should I look on this model and year ?

Thanks and yes, it cools fine when the compressor will come on and all pressures are right. My 'mechanic' says he can't figure it out and I was hoping some of the guru's here could help out. Have a great day !

High head pressure due to insufficient air flow across condenser coil at idle! That's my guess. Cool good going down the road, from ram air, at speed? Or is it still intermittent while driving say 55 mph? If not cooling at idle, spray cold water onto the front of the van @ the ac condenser coil to see if that helps. Mechanic may/should have tried this trick though, i am sure he did. Also surely the radiator cooling fans are on when ac is on, surely!

Thank you for your help Pushrod ! I will go talk to them and see. I just bought this van and have not driven it yet with them trying to get the A/C working as they promised it would be working. I will take this to them and see what happens. Again, thanks and all suggestions appreciated, I'm riding the bus until this is resolved for now. Happy Thursday !
