The AC compressor may be damaged during cold weather conditions due to refrigerant "slugging." Our technicians tell us that the repair involves replacing the AC compressor and the condenser.

  • At five years old, the car's compressor blew up, thus locking up the car and now it does not run. The car is made where you can not by pass the air compressor with the belt, thus causing major money problems to fix. I still owe a lettle less than $4,000.00 on this car. It is a shame that Dodge products seem to fall apart faster than your payment schdule to pay for it.

I see why they call them Dodges. One should dodge buying this product.

I should have learn from my first experiance with a Dodge Shadow, bought new and within the first year the bolt in the door rusted and when it was opened the door dropped down and buckel the whole front driver's side of the car. They said there were no recalls for that, but I saw Dodge Shadows everywhere with the same problem.

Loud rattling. Took it to a repair shop and was told I need to replace the a/c compressor. Said there was a TSB released regarding this issue.
