In most cases you can but depending on mileage perhaps replacing the compressor may be in order. I recently priced a clutch for a Toyota 4Runner, it was only available from the dealer and the price of the clutch alone from the dealer was close to the price of a good quality aftermarket compressor (of course to replace the compressor the system needs to be evacuated and recharged which is costly.
