I have a 2003 325i, and the passenger side only blows warm to hot air depending on the outside temp and the drivers side only blows midly cool air (cooler in the morning and evening when the outside temp isn't quite so high). Does anyone know what might be wrong, and how to fix it?

Symptoms sounds like your A/C is low on freon.
Have the A/C recharged and dye added.
Possible leaking evaporator, which after dye is added, fluorescent residue will be seen around the evaporator drain after your A/C performance drops again.
Possible leaking condenser which after dye is added, a dark cloud can be seen somewhere on the condenser after your A/C performance drops again.
Possible leaking compressor or shraider valve also.

I have the same problem. The BMW dealership said that I have a leaking evaporator coil and expansion valve. The estimate for the repair is $2876.77

Wow, I brought mines to the dealership & they told me the same thing. Did you get yours fixed or found another solution?
