My blower doesn't kick on when I have the A/C on. The compressor is working fine, but the blower doesnt engage. Is the blower the primary culprit or are there other things I need to look at? Also how hard is it to replace the blower and where is it located? Where can I get some procedures for troubleshooting this and also for removal and replacement? Thank you very much.

Does your blower work with the heater? As far as service info, you will need wiring diagrams and removal and replacement instructions. Before you start to disassemble, check out the electrical controls first, i.e. the fuse switch etc. so you are sure it is a motor issue and not a control issue.

I had the same problem. It was the "strip fuse" just outside the fuse block. It has a small cover that opens. $2.00 part.

i also have a 1994 e420 the blower had stoped working an i replaced blower but that didnt do the job. so i changed the resistor an that also didnt werk so i went to a local store an picked up a conduct paste an i put it between plug an resistor an that solved the problem so troublshoot the blower or switche's before you start to rip apart.blower motor an resistor is located under the wiperblade. so all panels have to come off including wiper.good luck.

That was helpful. I just have one question. How do I get to the blower? Where is it located on an E420?
