a/c and heater issues on 2001 Mercury Villager

a/c and heater runs for awhile and then stops blowing. After a few minutes it starts to blow again. The air flow fluctuate from hi to low on its own. What can be causing it to do that? Also, my rear cabin blows air but when using heat it blows cold air and when using a/c air is warm. Any suggestions on what can be wrong with both issues?

Hi, sorry to see you didn't get an answer to your question, were you able to find out what was causing the problems with your Villager? Was there two different problems or was one thing responsible? Thanks!

The fan speed resistor for my front A/C - Heater keeps failing. Part only seems to last about 8-9 months before it burns out (then only high speed works). Any ideas why?
This is how it works it doesn't blow heat from 1,2,or 3.
