2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Question: A?C air blows hot while sitting still but very cold while moving

The air is cold while moving but gets warm at red light after stopping maybe within a minute. It will turm cold when I start moving. I charged it anyway but did not help. There is a small fan on the driver side beside the radiator that I think may not be working

    The fan should run while the compressor on the a/c system runs.If the fan is opperating properly then you may need to check the a/c high and low side head pressures.

    i have an 05 that had the same problem. the small fan is the condenser fan and you will hear it if it is working. i am not a mech and i had no problem replacing. the part wasnt too expensive (you just need to buy the motor). you will need a way to pull the system down to pull the condenser. also advise having something to put over the a/c line once they're open to keep debris out of the system while you work. i used pieces of tape.
