Question: ABS warning light

 Rookie

I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 188,000 miles. For the last 8 years the ABS warning light has come on intermittently on and off. The dealer has checked the brakes and found no problems. Now the light stays on all the time. Is this a common problem? What could the problem be when the dealer says the brakes are working fine?

    It is a code in your ABS system, The code needs to be retrieved with an ABS capable scanner. It could be dozens of things with in your ABS system, so DO NOT guess, have the code pulled and properly interpreted.
