my abs sensor light just came on. can i still drive the car without worry of road breakdown

TechnicianYes. The only things that are affected is the ABS and traction control. Everything else, including normal brake function, should be just fine. You should still get it repaired since it does give you a better chance of avoiding a crash in an emergency situation.
