2000 Kia Sportage Q&A

2000 Kia Sportage Question: ABS system.

The ABS system don´t work. The indicator light is always on. Are the ABS system totally ruin or is it possible that ABS system don´t work coz the sensor/detector is broken. -
Answer 1
It's possible that a sensor is defective. The ABS light indicates that the computer has detected a malfunction in the ABS system and has diagnostic codes and data stored which would be essential in diagnosing the problem. A technician with a scanner could access the diagnostic codes and data and then be able to give you a diagnosis.
