ABS pump on 2005 Toyota 4Runner

The car was driven all day, no warning lights came on, went to start the car later, nothing happened, we thought it was the battery, tried to jump start it, it sparked and set off alarm system, couldn't get it to start, towed to dealership told the ABS pump failed? Why would my car not start if it was just the ABS?

If the ABS pump failed it blow could have draw a lot of current and perhaps tripped a main fuse that was also shared by the starting circuit, (I would have to look at a wiring diagram) but that would be my guess. Ask them did it blow a fuse/main fuse? Could you jump started the car "backward".

Did you ever find a resolution to this? I am having the same problem and it appears as if I will need to replace my abs module... Unless there is just a diode/relay that can be tested/replaced
